CLUB INSTRUCTORs

In the Zhong ding organisation we have a number of Masters who are our Technical Advisors who we have access to through the head of our organisation, Nigel Sutton. Click on the link below to view the Zhong Dings Technical Advisors

In the last few years alone we have had visits in the UK from Master Lau Kim Hong and Master Liang He Ching, Master Fu and through the organisation our members have been able to train in Malaysia & China with a number of masters, such as Master Zhao Wei Dong & Gao Ji Wu.

  GLEN PELHAM MATHER

Glen is the senior instructor at the club. He holds a 4th Duan in Tai Chi and has over twenty years experience.

He has competed at a national level and was the British Open Tui Shou/Pushing Hands Champion for 1996/97/98/99

In addition to this, Glen is a 2nd Duan in 5 Ancestors Chinese boxing and has studied Tai Chi and Qi Gong in Malaysia under many of Zhong Ding`s technical advisors.

Glen is currently teaching in Goa, India with his wife Katie, where they are setting up courses in Tai Chi, Reiki, Yoga and Dance, plus treatments in Acupuncture, Reiki and Shiatsu massage.

  jan simpson

Originally trained in Jee Pai Kung Fu, then moved to Tai Chi and now holds a 4th Duan in Tai Chi Chuan and has spent almost 10 years studying Tai Chi & Qi Gong with his teacher Glen Pelham-Mather.

In 2003/05 Jan trained in Malaysia with Master Zhao Wei Dong, Nigel Sutton & Tan Mew Hong.

Jan has also travelled to many of China`s most historical places that includes The Shaolin Temple, The Chen Family Village and the Sacred Mount Wudang where many people believe is the birth place of Tai Chi Chuan.

In 2001 Jan competed at the Grand Championships taking third place in his first competition.

Jan is also a certified Master/teacher of Usui Reiki.

He is currently the Chief Instructor of Sussex Zhong Ding, as well as the designer of it`s web site

  mark ellett

Mark obtained his first black belt in Keishin Kan karate in 1985, studying a number of other styles of Karate, receiving his black belt in Go ju Ryu karate in 2001.

He has also studied Lau Gar Kung Fu and Ju Jitsu before taking up Tai Chi, receiving his 3rd duan in Tai Chi in 2009.

Mark also is also a qualified Shiatsu practitioner

  chris sims

Chris has trained up to 3rd duan instructor level in Tai Chi Chuan & Gao Family Baguazhang. He is also a 2nd level instructor of seni silat lian padukan .

Chris Studied for 15 months in malaysia under Nigel Sutton as well as training with many of Zhong Ding`s technical advisors. In 2005 he won a silver medal in Malaysia representing the UK in silat embo fighting.

  Marc burton

Marc has been studying Tai Chi for over 6 years and currently holds a 2nd duan instructor level. He has also studied in Malaysia under Nigel Sutton.

Mark also runs an Adult Education class:Mondays 7:30-8:30pm Lancing Boundstone Adult Education Centre (starts 18th Sep 2006) and teaches a The David Lloyd Health Club in Worthing, West Sussex.

Marc is also a registered Shiatsu practitioner with the Myojindo Bodyworks Association.
